Re: Carlos Sanchez Signed
Sanchez has the same agent as Diop, who was also bought at the same time. Apart from Diop the only even halfway decent player on their books is Ndidi, so wouldn't surprise me if they decided to take advantage of us wanting Diop.

Re: Carlos Sanchez Signed
Salah was never terrible at Chelsea (nor was DeBruyne!).
Was just a young player with a whole heap of very good players in front of him who went elsewhere to play regularly.
Sanchez was an experienced international at Villa and played a lot. And he was absolute toilet and not up to the league.
He has come to us and done that again.

Roby - definitely bollocks.

Sven - I completely agree with you, he was terrible at Villa and worse for us. But it doesn't always work that way - look at Mo Salah.

Hopefully will be the first out the door next month and take his ridiculous 70's porn star barnet with him

Re: Carlos Sanchez Signed
I read a rumour on either here on Kumb that when we signed either Anderson or Balbuena the same agent would only do a deal if we also took Sanchez (who presumably was from the same stable of players).

Might be true, might be bollocks.

Re: Carlos Sanchez Signed
Like I said before he was an absolute car crash for Villa and I was completely pissed off and underwhelmed when we signed him.

Quite why people who are paid an absolute fortune couldn't suss out what I or most others could easily figure out I'll never know

I’ll tell you what Pellegrini saw in him. Someone who he could afford- I.e. was free.

Re: Carlos Sanchez Signed
He is shit.

I mean he’s trying his best, but he’s just shit. Like watching someone way out of his depth.

Well hopefully whoever comes in (I’m looking at you Moysie son) will kick his fat arse out of the club too.

Re: Carlos Sanchez Signed
This is what I don't understand
Players often come from abroad and for whatever reason don't suit Premier league football or are just shown to be shit.
Sanchez did that with Villa and we saw it.
How on earth can you then sign that player?
He is an atrocious player.
A defensive midfielder who cant pass, cant keep the ball, cant win the ball and who has no sense of danger.

That's what any sane person would've done Wiltell

Re: Carlos Sanchez Signed
I watched the match online and at the half time chat Tim Sherwood said that he would take off Carlos Sanchez during the break and put Mark Noble on. He explained that he always felt uneasy when he had Sanchez playing for him at Villa and couldn't ever trust him!

Makes you wonder what Pellegrini saw in him?

Re: Carlos Sanchez Signed
And that cheer should be on Pellegrini's conscience. Having been stupid enough to start him, he should have hooked him at half time so he could slip away quietly

Biggest cheer of the game was when he got subbed, which says it all.

We’ve done well
We seem to have found in Roberto Sanchez & Ajeti the worst keeper ,midfielder & striker in world football

Russ

If he turns out to be better than I expected...by which I dont mean world-beating...I will return and offer my sincerest apologies

Don't think I'll be apologising any time soon. What do you reckon Russ of the BML?

Re: Carlos Sanchez Signed
Written off and not really been given a chance. Odd appearances doesn't help fitting into a system. I agree that I wasn't enthused by his signing as he was awful for Villa in the past but given our team were being overrun and bullied every game I thought he might have had more game time. This guy doesn't shirk tackles and is built like a tank. It's a shame he's slow and sometimes reckless.
Either way it's a waste to have someone being paid loads that doesn't fit, isn't fit or just isn't going to contribute.
Personally I think he gets a lot of stick without really having done too much wrong for us.

I never saw him play well for Villa and they went down with him in the team...he liked a red and yellow card too
